Prateek Rawat

Senior Software Engineer at a US-based B2B SaaS company

I build software that has to work inside applications I don't control. For five years that has meant browser infrastructure: finding why something breaks across every customer's environment, fixing it once, and shipping that fix as something every other team can build on.

  1. Jan 2023 — Present

    Senior Software Engineer

    • Took ZipRPA from a desktop tool to a cloud platform in production, leading 3 of the company's 5 engineers
    • Built self-healing element resolution shared by all three products — guide breakage went from weekly to near zero
    • Built AI failure analysis that grades each broken test by severity and repairs it in one click, cutting maintenance time
    • AI agents that crawl a customer's application and author its test cases with no human input
    • Built the process-recording extension end to end — design, documentation, screenshot annotation, export and sharing
    • Scheduled automated test runs with BullMQ job queues, so suites run unattended
  2. Jul 2021 — Dec 2022

    Software Engineer

    • Built the guide extension UI 10,000+ end users run their workflows through, inside their own enterprise apps
    • Injected content scripts through nested iframes and shadow DOM so guides render inside apps we don't control
    • Integrated the REST APIs connecting the Dashboard to both extensions, keeping guide data in sync
    • Built a worker pulling live Coupa and Workday data into ZipRPA, so tests run against real data instead of fixtures
    • Rebuilt ZipRPA from vanilla JavaScript onto React and Electron, cutting 30% of the code with reusable components
    • Automated test execution with Playwright on the new ZipRPA base
    • Ran client discussions end to end — gathering requirements, then delivering the flows that came out of them
  3. May — Jun 2021

    Software Engineer Intern

    • Cut 40% of the Dashboard's codebase by replacing repeated markup with reusable React components
    • Solely owned the Dashboard front end — the admin surface every customer configures the product from
    • Designed the guide template every product walkthrough is built from — the core of what customers ship
    • Introduced the front end's first unit tests with Jest, where there had been no test coverage at all
    • Rebuilt the marketing site and the flow template shared across client accounts
